GREAT FEEDBACK: The cast of The Liver Birds, which is running until February 18

Our audiences are flocking to see The Liver Birds which opened last week and runs each night at 7:30pm until Saturday February 18.  

We have received wonderful feedback with all of our patrons urging family and friends to book and see the show. There is an extra chance to see the show as we are putting on a matinee performance at 2:30pm on Saturday February 18.

The play invites you to a weekend at the Liverpool flat shared by Sandra and Beryl - throughout the course of the evening we meet suitors, mothers, a father, a caretaker and a vicar as our heroines navigate hangovers, baby sitting and beautification! Kate Miles Roberts has assembled an energetic and talented cast for this fun foray that is sure to banish the winter blues.

The brighter evenings can be filled with even more feel-good theatre as next week we welcome Southport Spotlights. This beloved society will be performing the musical version of Stepping Out from 22-25 February 2023 as part of their 70th anniversary celebrations.

Stepping Out introduces us to the attendees of a weekly tap class as well as telling the tale of their teacher and pianist. This experienced and enthusiastic ensemble will have you tapping your toes as you enjoy getting lost in the lives, loves and laughs of the ladies (and one gentleman) being taught by Mavis Turner.

Tracy Bachelor directs this peppy and poignant song and dance extravaganza based on the play by Richard Harris. Choreography is courtesy of Pippa Morris and Adam Dutch rounds out the team as Musical Director.

You may also be familiar with the screenplay, also by Richard Harris, which was released in 1991 and starred Liza Minelli as Mavis, ably supported by a stellar cast including Julie Walters, Shelley Winters and Jane Krakowski.
