CLASSIC TALE: The Wind in the Willows will be the Little Theatre's latest offering

As the curtain comes down on another glorious season, we are already looking well ahead to the 2022/2023 offerings we have in store.

Our youth theatre kick us off in less than a month with a fresh take on a classic tale; The Wind in the Willows has been brought back to life by Julian Fellowes (known by many for Downton Abbey). This wild, thrill seeking tale opens on Tuesday, August 23 and runs until Saturday, August 27.

The subscriber season opener, Noël Coward’s Blithe Spirit, is also cast and in rehearsal. You won’t want to ghost us for this charming comedy which will be performed from September 23 until October 1.

For those who do not know, our subscriber offer is available now. It allows you to select an evening and available seats and secure them for the eight shows in the package for the price of six! There are even more savings to be had if you book for the first night, or Monday night package.

NEW SHOW: The show will run from August 23 to August 27

We are also delighted to announce our next ‘talk-up’ to be held in our theatre bar. A talk up is an opportunity to hear from a director about their vision for the forthcoming production they are steering. It is a great way to find out how you can be involved whether that is by auditioning for a role, sourcing props/helping back stage or assisting with costumes.

This Friday (July 29) we will hear from Celia Timmington who is directing John Godber’s Gym and Tonic. She will be ably assisted by Angela McIntyre. The auditions will be the following week and the show will take shape in order to be performed during the last week of October 2022.

Set in an upmarket spa, this clever and funny play offers a great variety of roles for men and women, some speaking and some supporting.

If you want to learn more about it, come to the bar around 7.30pm, you don’t need to be a member to attend.
