ALMOST SHOWTIME: Sleeping Beauty cast in rehearsal

‌Another opening, another show - this week it’s time to launch panto.

Our fine festive treat will open this week, so if it is adventure and music you seek, come down to the theatre and meet those on duty to keep you all safe whilst you watch Sleeping Beauty. The strong lass herself has plenty of pluck but she will need her friends, your well wishes and luck.

Her aunt is so wicked and she has now shown that she will stop at nothing to remain on the throne; She’s not one to share, she wants to rule solo - thank goodness that Beauty has her loyal friend Polo!

She will need all her wit, and the courage of a lion as well as help from Dame Maris and her young son Brian. Is there a Prince? Of course there is, and magical interventions from our Fairy Fizz.

You may fear that hope is starting to dwindle when Carabosse cracks out the dangerous spindle. But do not despair, you’d better not pout - it’s the season of hope and good always wins out.

So gather your loved ones, come and be wowed, be ready to laugh, and applaud and be loud. This is the most wonderful time of the year, and we are so pleased to be part of your cheer.

Year in and year out, you give us permission to be part of your family’s festive tradition. Leave your cares at the door, come take a seat, make sure you’ve booked and you’re in for a treat.

Sleeping Beauty is written by Guy Unsworth and directed by Stephen Hughes-Alty with musical direction from Adam Dutch and choreography from Pippa Morris.

It opens on 16th December and runs until 2nd January, please check our website for performance times as they vary. We will also have two performances with BSL translation on Tuesday 27th December.
