Our November production of Two 2 was a triumph and we were so grateful to everyone who took the time to share their positive views.

Our Northern boozer will now give way to a whole range of colourful backdrops as we whisk you to the world of Robin Hood. This classic tale has been revitalised by talented member Gary Simpson and his good friend, the late Andy Hawkes.

If anyone is able to write us a winter prescription for happiness, it is Dr Simpson!

Gary is our director and fondly recalls penning the pantomime twenty years ago and has loved bringing it to life; he told us: “I have been involved in many shows, but rarely had so much fun in rehearsals. The cast have really got into the spirit and I can’t really remember a show where there has been so much laughter going through the scenes.  

“I am really hoping that the enjoyment in putting the panto together will be infectious and spill over to the audience. Like any classic pantomime, we have incorporated hissable baddies, and likeable goodies; sing-along songs and classic slapstick to amuse audiences of all ages.”

With choreography from Pippa Morris and musical direction from Adam Dutch, you know there is a dream team at the helm.

Robin Hood opens Friday, December 17 at 7.30pm and it closes on Sunday, January 2 with a 2.30pm matinee.

Before Christmas you can catch the show on Saturday, December 18 at 1pm and 5.30pm, Sunday, December 19 at 2.30pm or Wednesday, December 22 and Thursday, December 23 – both at 7.30pm.

The show resumes on Monday, December 27 when there will be performances at 1pm and 5.30pm then the same again on Tuesday, December 28, Wednesday, December 29 and Thursday, December 30 are 7.30pm then there is another 5.30pm performance on Saturday, January 1.
