HOUSE GUEST: The show continues this week

The twisting and turning thriller, about fame and kidnap and a killer continues this week. House Guest has had our audiences on the edge of their seats and kept the house guessing until the very end.

The show will run each night at 7:30pm until Saturday 18th November. The final SDC offering of the year will be our traditional family pantomime.

This year we are bringing you the tale of The Pied Piper. We are delighted to have John Coates in the director’s chair for this – he brings a wealth of experience gained from his time as a musical theatre actor in the West End and around the world, as well as his skills as a teacher and nurturer of the talent we boast in this town.

The Pied Piper opens on Friday 22nd December 2022 and runs until Sunday 7th January 2024. We will have a performance with British Sign Language interpretation too.

In 2024 we have many more marvellous shows to keep you coming back. From Friday 26th January to Saturday 3rd February we have Elsie and Norm’s Macbeth. This warm comedy will be just the antidote to the winter blues.

Pressure is a 2014 play written by David Haig which tells the enthralling true story of James Stagg and the weather forecasts that informed D-Day. We will be showing this from Friday 23rd February and runs until Saturday 2nd March.

Our youth theatre are bringing us two plays from 20-23 March; DNA concentrates on teenagers who do something bad and try to cover it up, and It Snows explores themes of connection and change.

Back with our subscriber season we have another thriller and then a classic sitcom adapted for the stage. Dead Guilty is on from 12-20 April and is followed by The Good Life from 10-18 May.

Finally, our bar production in June 2024 is The Revlon Girl which is set in the aftermath of the Aberfan tragedy of 1966.
