Loughborough University will host Paralympic champion Libby Clegg for a charity firewalk to raise funds for a local sight loss charity.
Libby Clegg, who will take part in the walk on Saturday, May 28, has officially joined the team at Vista and is the charity's newly appointed community fundraiser.
The sprinter has a deteriorating eye condition known as Stargardt's Macular Dystrophy disease, giving her only slight peripheral vision in her left eye - she is registered blind.
Libby said: "If you're looking for a fundraising challenge that will push your boundaries, please join me - whether it's solo, with friends, colleagues or family members, everyone over the age of 18 is welcome."
"I'm really excited to be supporting local people in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland with sight loss and to be able to witness the direct impact the charity has in the community.
"The pandemic has really hit our fundraising, and local support is vital to the charity in helping us to deliver our sight loss services."
Libby's first challenge is to walk on fire for the charity on Saturday, May 28.
