Governors should be passionate about their local community
The NHS in Derbyshire are looking for a governor who is interested in local NHS services and feels passionately towards their community.
If you are interested you must be a member of Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and over the age of 16.
As a governor you will:
- Represent the interests and views of local members
- Attend the Council of Governors meetings
- Act as an ambassador for the Trust
- Hold non-executive directors to account for the Trust’s performance
The NHS are looking for members of the public who are motivated, enthusiastic and willing to engage with their local community to stand in our governor elections for:
- Amber Valley
- Bolsover and North East Derbyshire
- Chesterfield
- Derby City East
- Derby City West
- Erewash
- South Derbyshire
- Rest of England
Lynda Langley, Public Governor said: "Being a governor is a great opportunity to get involved in influencing the Trust’s services.

local communities and the Trust."
