FUN DAY: Last year’s vintage vehicle fundraiser at Southport Auto Centre

We held our Spring Fair on Thursday, 11th May, to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. We had a most enjoyable social afternoon with a craft and book stall, tombola, raffle and, most importantly, a home-made cake stall.

Many thanks to those who made items for the fair, helped on the day and donated to the stalls and raffle. We had some lovely prizes including show tickets.

Thanks also to Holy Trinity Church Southport, for allowing us to hold our event in their Parish Hall.

HOME-MADE CAKES: Our Spring Fair was a success!

The Southport Auto Centre, on Wright Street, are our next-door neighbours and they are holding their annual fun day on Saturday, 24th June, from 10am to 4pm, with a display of vintage vehicles, refreshments, and a raffle. All proceeds will be going to Macmillan and the Southport Lifeboat Charity.

We will be having a stall and the Centre will be open on the day. This event is always good fun so do come along if you can.

With the weather improving at last, you might feel like joining us at Southport parkrun on the last Saturday of the month as we do 5K Your Way. We will be there from 8.50am and will walk the parkrun course.

No pressure to complete the course and you can go at your own speed. This is a very friendly group, and we enjoy our hour in the fresh air. Please register with parkrun before joining us.

If you or a family member is affected by Cancer, you are warmly welcome to visit us at the Southport and Formby Macmillan Cancer Information Centre. We are open for drop-in from 10am-4pm from Monday to Friday and we are now running a full range of groups, courses, and activities.

Our staff are always ready with a listening ear and can offer emotional, financial, and practical support. We have a library of Macmillan Cancer Support guides on a wide range of cancer-related subjects.
