A former stray who has spent most of her life in kennels is hoping she will find her perfect match this Valentine's Day.
Three year old Saluki cross Penny has been with the team at Dogs Trust Manchester since 2020.
She was found wandering the streets alone just as lockdown began and since then has sadly proved unlucky in love.
Dawn Bishop, Manager at the Denton-based rehoming centre, says: “Penny is full of character and makes us laugh every day, but she gets anxious meeting new people, so sadly she hasn’t found her special someone yet.
“She is looking for owners who love to head out on adventures as much as she does. She particularly enjoys a paddle and splash about in muddy puddles and she loves people-watching!
"At home she enjoys doing reward-based training and knows many tricks including sit, lie down and paw and will go to her bed when asked.
“When she isn’t having fun learning new things, she will happily settle with some foodie treats, her particular favourites being raw tripe and yoghurt!”

Penny is looking to find ever-lasting love in an adult-only home with few visitors and no visiting children. She would like to be the only pet, but she enjoys meeting up with doggy friends when she is out and about.
She prefers to be walked in quieter areas away from too much hustle and bustle and she would love a secure garden to relax and play in.
Dawn said: “Penny is looking for patient owners who will let her settle in at her own pace and not ask too much of her at first.
"But once she knows she can trust them, they will have a loving, loyal, giddy friend for life. She is an amazing girl and just needs to be given a chance to find the love she deserves.”
