Pop legends McFly will be headlining a local music festival.

The band will play on the final night of Trentham Live 2022, which will take place at The Trentham Estate, Trentham, Staffordshire.

McFly will be returning, following on from their success at last year's event.

They will be performing on Sunday, September 4.

The band will replace Olly Murs as headliner, after he was forced to cancel his summer shows due to knee surgery.

McFly will be supported by Scouting for Girls.

McFly said: "Following on from a fantastic night at Trentham last year, we are delighted to be the final headliner for Trentham Live 2022.

"To follow in the footsteps with musical greats such as The Rolling Stones and The Beatles who have played at Trentham in the past, we’re in very good company.

"We can’t wait to see our fans there again."

McFly has sold ten million records worldwide and became the youngest band ever to have a debut album go straight to number one.

They have also had seven UK number-one singles and six top-ten albums.
