Local residents are invited to attend a community dinner and vote for a project to receive funding.

People who live in Mossley, Greater Manchester are being asked to attend Mossley SOUP in order to raise money to benefit the town.

The event aims to bring the community together whilst fundraising.

People will be given freshly made soup and will hear presentations about four projects that will benefit the town.

Each presenter has four minutes to share their idea and will be given an opportunity to answer four questions from the audience.

The community will then vote for their favourite, with the winner receiving all of the money raised on the night to carry out the project.

The meal costs £5 and will take place on Thursday, March 17 at Emmaus Mossley.

The dinner will also include guest speakers, live music and a raffle.
