Music in Ayr concert hit the right notes

The first part of the 'Music in Ayr' concert series, promoted by Ayr Music Club, came to a joyous end on Saturday with a recital by Brass Tracks.

This Central Scotland Wind Quintet presented a wonderfully mixed programme of music ranging from 17th Century dances to The Beatles.

There were also arrangements from the world of opera and film, as well as some delightful folk-inspired works.

The audience got great enjoyment from the variety of styles and from the festive atmosphere which the quintet (pictured above) created, especially in their surprise items- lively performances of Christmas music!

Music in Ayr returns to Alloway Parish Church Hall, South Ayrshire, on Saturday, January 15 2022, when the guest artistes will be a clarinet ensemble, and The Denham Street Quartet.
