National Trust head gardener to give talk in Caversham
Reading Gardening Club will be having a talk from gardener Alan Power in Caversham,, Berkshire.
Learn all about the management and conservation of one of the National Trust's most magical and beautiful gardens at a talk in Reading.
Head gardener of National Trust Stourhead Alan Power will visit Reading Gardening Club on Wednesday, February 14.
The gardens, based in Wiltshire, are world famous and were as described as ‘a living work of art’ when first opened in the 1740s.
The group will meet from 7.45pm at Caversham Primary School in Hemdean Road, Caversham, Berkshire.
Mr Power will also tell participants about his time at Hidcote and Mount Steward (N. Ireland) and touch on some of his experiences as a gardener on TV and radio.
Plants will be on sale at the event.
Non-members are welcome to the event and entry will cost £3 on the door.
