New signs to encourage owners to pick up after their dog have been installed at a park.
The new signs have been put up in Bowlee Park in Middleton to remind dog owners to behave responsibly.
Rochdale Council, who installed the signs, said there are plans to put up more in other locations across the borough.
The signs tell owners to ‘scoop it, bag it, bin it’ and include different cartoon pooches with messages for their owners such as, ‘don’t dump and run’ and 'dear owner. My business is your business'.
In a post on Facebook Rochdale Council said: “We recently installed new dog fouling signs at Bowlee to encourage owners to behave responsibly.
“No one wants to see your foul play - please pick up after your pooch, or you could face a stinky fine.
“No Excuses - you own a dog, you pick it up.”
