Nominate your Bridgend County Borough heroes

Residents are being asked by The Mayor of Bridgend County Borough to put forward nominations of individuals, groups and businesses who may be worthy of a Citizenship Award.

The Mayor's Citizenship Awards are the most prestigious annual community awards celebrating exceptional citizens within Bridgend County Borough

The awards are open to people who live in the county borough, as well as local groups and businesses and are organised by Bridgend County Borough council.

Who can be nominated

Nominees can be individuals, groups or businesses. They just have to live, work, or be sited locally, and have shown the kind of values that make Bridgend great. They might have:

  • raised an outstanding amount for charity
  • performed an act of great bravery
  • regularly gone the extra mile for others
  • put the local area on the map
  • achieved something really special over the past 18 months

Criteria for the awards

  1. Nominees are only eligible for one award each year
  2. Past winners can only be nominated for new achievements
  3. These awards are open to all citizens. However, people nominated for paid work must have carried out exceptional work beyond their post’s expectations
  • Nominations can be completed online and must be submitted by Friday, January 7
