Breakspear Park in Hertfordshire has announced the launch of its new community charity campaign for 2023.

Designed to support charities, not-for-profit groups, and services amid the current cost-of-living crisis, Breakspear Park in Hemel Hempstead will give away £1,000 every quarter, helping deserving causes within Hertfordshire.

The business park is now asking the public to write in and nominate charities, projects or causes they feel deserve to win. Anything will be considered as long as it is not-for-profit and benefits the people of Hertfordshire.

Details of the top three nominations (as chosen by Breakspear Park’s management team) will be announced via its Facebook page, giving the public a chance to vote for the project or cause they feel deserves the donation.

Each nomination must be for a Hertfordshire-based organisation and should highlight the type of project, charity, group or service, provide details about what the £1,000 would be used for, and include contact details for both the nominee and the nominator.

Dina Mistry, marketing manager at Breakspear Park, said: “We have been established in Hemel Hempstead for over 30 years now, and we are lucky that some of the UK’s top companies choose to call us home for their office space. We always talk internally about how we are a community of local employees, but we wanted to reach out beyond the walls of Breakspear Park.

“Given the current cost-of-living crisis, many charities and local not-for-profit groups are struggling, so we’re giving back to the areas we live and work in. We want to celebrate and support good causes that are making a difference and helping those in need in the Hertfordshire community, so we’re looking forward to receiving the nominations.”

The first £1,000 donation will be awarded in March 2023, and nominations should be submitted to dina.mistry@breakspear-park.co.uk by midnight on Sunday, January 29.
