Open gardens in Barcombe will raise funds for Bevern Trust

Later this month, glorious gardens in Barcombe will be raising money for a local disability charity. Banks Farm, in Boast Lane, will open its grounds to the public on Saturday, April 20, from 11am to 4pm, in aid of The Bevern Trust.

Garden lovers are invited to wander around the nine acres of stunning gardens set in the heart of the Sussex countryside. Extensive manicured lawns and early flowering shrubs merge with the more naturalistic woodland garden, set around the lake.

An orchard, vegetable garden, ponds and a wide variety of plant species add to an interesting and tranquil garden. Celebrate springtime in a quintessential English garden, then enjoy delicious homemade cakes and hot drinks as you relax on the beautiful lawns.

Natasha Kaplinsky, patron of The Bevern Trust, said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to enjoy this beautiful Sussex garden and its wildlife and help support the amazing Bevern Trust which provides outstanding residential care for eleven profoundly disabled young adults. I’m very proud to be their patron and support in any way I am able.”

Tickets to the Banks Farm Open Gardens cost £7 per person, with accompanying children under 16 free. The gardens are wheelchair accessible and there's plenty of free parking.

The Bevern Trust, based in Barcombe, is a charity which ensures that people with profound disabilities can live truly active and fulfilling lives. For more information visit their website.
