Planning permission for semi-detached homes granted

Planning permission to build semi-detached homes on land at Gate Street, Rochdale, has been granted.

The application, submitted by Mansoor and Ghulam Ahmad, received two objections.

The houses will be built on a wider stretch of land in between two terrace rows on Gate Street and Midhurst Street respectively.

Historical map records show that this area was once occupied by a long terrace row, mirroring the layout of the existing properties on Midhurst Street.

The two houses each have a small rear garden and one off-street parking space per house.

The houses will be two-bedroom.

The application was submitted to Rochdale Borough Council in December 2020.
