Players from Poulton Victoria Dortmund Under 10’s team got a taste of international football duties during May half term.

The team travelled to Denmark to play two friendly matches against Hillerød FC and BK SKjold, winning both games 3-2 and 5-4, respectively.

Peter Simon, Poulton Victoria FC Chair said: “This has been an amazing opportunity and enriching experience for the boys to play their first international matches, as well as to visit Danish towns and attractions.

"We would like to thank our sponsor’s SEP Insurance Services and Elis Williams Construction, along with all of the players’ families and friends that have supported with fundraising efforts to kit out the team for this trip.”

Whilst there, the team also had a tour of the Parken, the Danish national stadium and home to FC Copehagen.

Plans are already underway to welcome both Danish teams to the Wirral for a re match on home soil.
