The primary school children donated hampers to those in need
Submitted by Deb Hindson
St Mark's Primary school have donated hampers for specific people in need across their community.
The hamper campaign provides food gift hampers to individuals and families acrosss Teesside who are facing a tough Easter period.
Nominations for recipients of the hampers come into the school from social workers, schools and registered charities.
St Mark's were able to provide 15 families with hampers after children were taught about the importance of giving to others in their lessons at school.
They learnt about the compassion and love Jesus had for others, and so wanted to help those less fortunate in the community.
Each year group helped create a hamper for specific people in need, for example, a reception class helped a mother with one child.
The hampers will allow people who need it most to enjoy their Easter period.
