Provost pays tribute to The Bard at wreath laying ceremony in Ayr
It was one of a number of events which took place up and down the country -and all over the world- to mark the Scottish poet's birthday on January 25 1759.
Depute Provost, Mary Kilpatrick, laid a wreath at the Burns Statue in Burns Statue Square, Ayr, South Ayrshire, to celebrate the birthday of Robert Burns.
