Children at Shoscombe Church School took part in a district-wide cross country competition.
The event saw school across the Midsomer Norton area taking part remotely, either at or near their schools.
Headteacher Ruth Noall, said: "An enthusiastic group of children from Years 5 and 6 trouped up to the Shoscombe Village Hall to take part in the Midsomer Norton Schools Partnership cross country competition.
"They had to run 1.4km which was slightly less than six laps of the field. Supported by parents, they all ran with great determination and resilience. Despite their tired legs and puffed out lungs, they all found a sprint for the final stretch of the course.
"The times have been collated and sent off to be added to the list with the other schools, so we wait to see how we compare. The team displayed great sportsmanship and team spirit and we are immensely proud of all their efforts."
The school in Shoscombe in Somerset, along with its sister school – St Julian’s Wellow – have had to come up with new and innovative ways to mark, celebrate and take part in events.
Other sporting and fundraising activities recently held have included Pumpkin Trails, mufti days for Children in Need, virtual school productions and sponsored walks.
