Rochdale Boroughwide Housing (RBH) are looking for a new chair of the board to make improvements following the death of Awaab Ishak.

Now, the housing provider is advertising for a new Chair of the Board after the housing association’s entire board announced last year it would be resigning in the new year.

Chief executive Gareth Swarbrick was also sacked, with Yvonne Arrowsmith taking up an interim CEO position in December.

Also in December RBH announced that recruitment for new board members, including a new Chair, would commence in January 2023.

They said: “All new appointees to the Board will be approved by our Representative Body, and the Body will also be directly involved in the interview process, ensuring tenant voice is at the heart of these decisions.”
