School expansion project receives boost in donations
Ashton Keynes Primary School in Wiltshire, has received additional donations to help fund ongoing building work for a new learning hub.
Housing developer Bellway South West, has donated £400 to a building project at Ashton Keynes Primary School, which is just seven miles from its development in Wiltshire.
Samantha Saville, Headteacher at Ashton Keynes Primary School, said: "We want to thank Bellway for their contribution towards our new learning hub.
"As a result of community fund raising, we are building a single-storey, insulated timber and glass structure, featuring modern heating, lighting and ventilation systems to ensure excellent energy efficiency.
"The learning hub will provide extra facilities for our pupils to thrive, as well as creating a new library area and space for our amazing choir to practice in."
Christel Hawkins, Sales Manager for Bellway South West, said: "We are always on the lookout for ways that we can help out and support local groups and organisations in the areas where we are building new homes, and we thought that giving some money towards furnishing the new build at Ashton Keynes Primary School would be a great way of doing that."
Work on the learning hub began back in October and is due for completion in May 2021.
