Seniors Society supports Diabetes UK Cymru
Diabetes UK have received a £1,500 donation from Cottrell Park Seniors' Society.
Robbie Norris, the 2019 Captain of the Cottrell Park Seniors' Society, Cardiff, whose father had type 1 diabetes, chose Diabetes UK Cymru as the leading charity last year.
Diabetes UK is a charity close to Robbie's heart, as his nephew was diagnosed with diabetes type 1 at age 16, and is currently trialling a new insulin pump. A few members of the Society also have Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes, which has generated further awareness of the condition.
The Society's fundraising events culminated in a big Christmas raffle, totalling £1,500 in donations throughout the year.
Joseph Cuff, Regional Fundraiseat Diabetes UK Cymru, said: "We are honoured to have been chosen as the charity for Cottrell Park Seniors last year and are very grateful to the Society and everyone involved for raising this amount, which will contribute towards supporting people living with diabetes in Wales."
