Shiftr Bike Film Night
An evening of bicycle adventures is coming to Hucknall later this month.
Screening four curated films from cyclists and filmmakers around the world, from all walks of life, the Shiftr Bike Film Night will show cyclists taking on unique challenges.
On Sunday, March 20, the event will start at 5.30pm at the Arc Cinema Hucknall, with films starting at 6pm and finishing at 8pm. There will be regular cinema confections available, as well as a selection of cakes and pastries.
Here's what will be screening:
‘Rainspotting’ is an 84-Hour bikepacking adventure through Scotland's gloomy Grampians, whilst ‘Girls Gotta Eat Dirt’ is a short film produced by Ripton & Co about three friends sharing the joy of hurtling down rocky slopes on their mountain bikes.
In ‘All Bodies on Bikes’, we join Kailey Kornhauser and Marley Blonsky on their mission to change the idea that people in larger bodies can't ride bikes.
Finally, ‘Resolution Race’ follows four hilarious Scottish women as they set off on cargo bikes from Edinburgh to Copenhagen, on Boxing Day hoping to make it in time for the New Year.
For those interested, Shiftr editors Nick and Charlotte will be leading a group from the Nottingham City Centre, from the train station to Hucknall, meeting with Charlotte, coming from the Women In Tandem Workshop.
The team's good friends' Women in Tandem are welcoming people to attend their Open Day at their brand new workshop on Chaucer Street, and those attending are welcome to attend the Film Night too.
The Shiftr Bike Film Night is a completely free event, but tickets will need to be booked from the Eventbrite page.
Details on the event, tickets, and the group ride route can be found on the website.
