South Ayrshire beauty spot pic ranked in VisitScotland's top images for the region
The stunning shot racked up over 41,000 likes on social media
A dramatic aerial shot of Culzean Castle perched on the cliff top was VisitScotland’s second most popular social media post of Ayrshire & Arran in 2021.
The image, taken by @lifeofcraigo, of the historic home of David Kennedy, 10th Earl of Cassillis, designed by Robert Adam in the late 18th century, attracted just over 41,000 likes.
VisitScotland Regional Director Gordon Smith said: “The rich history and vibrancy of Ayrshire & Arran and the stunning scenery and sights on offer in the wider area are a fantastic source of inspiration for photographers and these images have captured some of the many reasons visitors are drawn to the region.
“We know there is pent-up demand for travel, and we want to ensure that we inspire potential visitors with what Scotland has to offer and make it their first-choice destination when they can travel.”
