South Ayrshire football club appeals for Ukraine donations
Toiletries, pet food and first-aid supplies are needed
A South Ayrshire football club is appealing for toiletries and first aid donations for the thousands fleeing their homes in Ukraine into neighbouring countries.
Girvan Football Club have teamed up with McCulloch Group to ask residents to donate what they can in response to the Ukraine crisis.
Whilst blankets and clean clothing for all genders and ages will be accepted, there is a particular need for other items.
These include; Toiletries (hair brushes, shampoos, soaps, toothbrushes, sanitary towels), non-perishable food items, first-aid supplies (first-aid kits, bandages, foil survival blankets), long-life pet food and Yoga mats.
Donations can be dropped off at Hamilton Park, Girvan, on weekdays from 10am-12noon until further notice.
When donating, the team ask that items could be placed in plastic bags or boxes for easier transport to Ukraine.
McCulloch Group are also running a campaign for donations across their UK offices including Kilmarnock, Hurlford and Ballantrae in Scotland.
Donations will then be transported to the Continent to aid the refugees whom have fled.
