Judges were impressed by the girl's dishes
A pair of talented pupils showed off their culinary skills as they secured spots in top cooking competitions.
Holly Caldow-Yerbury and Tacianna Steede-Khonje from Belmont Academy have reached the regional finals of two national cookery contests.
Holly (pictured above) has been successful in securing a place in the Future Chefs competition regional final, after winning her school final and local final, which took place at Braehead Cook School in Kilmarnock.
At the local final Holly impressed judges by making the perfect Nasi Goreng.

Since being selected as the local winner, Holly has been working with Chef Stuart Leslie at Turnberry, who has been mentoring her in preparation for the regional final, which will take place at the City of Glasgow College at the end of the month.
If successful Holly will be going to London to take part in the national final.

Tacianna secured a place in the Rotary Club’s Young Chef competition, after winning the school competition and securing a place in the local final at Ayrshire College, where she impressed judges with her cornbread, vegetable pasta and cherry filo purses.
Tacianna will be attending South Lanarkshire College on February 1 to compete against other pupils from across Scotland for a place in the national final.
