South Ayrshire school goes green in donation drive

Belmont Academy is collecting used uniforms to help students through the cost of living crisis.

The school is looking for donations of uniform and outdoor equipment for pupils taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme.

The clothing initiative will promote recycling and help reduce the burden on families having to buy these items.

Donations from ex-pupils or members of the public would be immensely appreciated.

Belmont Academy’s uniform includes white shirts, black jumpers or cardigans, trousers and skirts and the Belmont Academy tie.

The school is also looking for equipment and clothing donations to support pupils partaking in the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme.

Adventurous equipment is often very expensive so the school requires donations to make sure pupils can safely take part in all excursions.

The school is looking for; waterproof trousers and jackets, hiking boots, training shoes, sleeping bags, sleeping mats, rucksacks (65 litres or over) and any other camping essentials.

All donations are welcome. For any inquiries please contact the school through e-mail at: Belmont.Mail@south-ayrshire.gov.uk or telephone on: 01292 612054
