Spring Plant Hunters' Fair returns to Bramall Hall next week
A community news update from your area
On Wednesday, April 17, Bramall Hall and Park will be hosting the Plant Hunters’ Fair, bringing you some of the country's most highly respected specialist nurseries, including RHS medallists, each with a brilliant range of plants. Returning after a break of four years, the fair proved hugely popular, rapidly gaining a reputation as the best specialist plant fair in the area, offering a dazzling array of plants.
Martin Blow said: “The plant fair will be held in the old walled garden and the atmosphere is always so intimate and friendly. There will be a brilliant line-up of specialist plant nurseries from near and far attending, laden with flowering bulbs, perennials and shrubs to provide instant colour and lots of later flowering plants to get planted now for colour into the summer and beyond.
“Wildflowers, herbs, clematis and alpines, will also feature at the fair. Plus, there will also be a great range of garden accessories available. Now’s the time to think ahead and plan that dream border for your garden. If you are new to gardening the stall holders are always happy to share their expertise to help you select the best plants for your own unique garden.”
Bramall Hall is one of Cheshire's most historic houses with surrounding parkland in the style of Capability Brown. Entry to the plant fair is just £2 and there is free entry to the 70-acre parkland. Funds raised will go to the Friends of Bramall Hall.
The plant fair runs from 10am to 4pm on Wednesday, April 17. Dogs on leads welcome. Refreshments available. Please see www.planthuntersfairs.co.uk for a list of nurseries attending.
