Supporters came from all over the island to celebrate the opening of St David’s Hospice shop in Llangefni.

Monday, April 17 saw the reopening of the Llangefni shop after a complete refurbishment. The team have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to transform the tired looking shop into a tasteful area for all to enjoy.

The bright colours on the walls highlighting the importance of gift aiding donations, volunteering and the lottery, catch the eyes of visitors as they wonder around. Llangefni town Mayor Cllr Non Parry and Deputy Mayor John Parry were invited to open the shop with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Friends take on a month of challenges for St David's Hospice

Mayor Cllr Non Parry welcomed everyone to the shop opening before congratulating St David’s Hospice for their achievement. She then thanked the staff for all their hard work in turning the shop around in just 10 weeks, adding how incredible the transformation is.

She ended her short speech by thanking the supporters who have continued to support St David’s Hospice and wished the shop all the success, hoping that it helps raise much needed funds for the worthy cause. Carol Morley, St David’s Hospice head of retail said: “It’s great to be sharing some positive news in the current climate.

OPENING DAY: The re-opening of the St David's Hospice shop

“Revamping the Llangefni shop has so far been proven to be a huge success, giving our supporters a modern and welcoming space to shop, donate and volunteer with us. We are proud and grateful to everyone who has been involved in the process and we look forward to taking the new look across the retail department as a whole.”

The first day saw a record number of sales for the shop, as buyers made sure to get themselves plenty of bargains. The shop has plenty on offer for everyone, from clothing, children’s toys, homeware, furniture and much more!
