A Croydon Harrier indoor record was broken as Stevie Lawrence recorded a personal best in her 3000m win in the VMI Team Challenge.

Lawrence, Croydon Harriers’ top middle-distance runner, is currently at university in America and hit fine early season form at the weekend.

She recorded a 3000m win and personal best in the VMI Team Challenge in Lexington, Virginia at the weekend, following a strong second spot in the one mile in 5.05:48 seven days earlier.

She dominated the 3000m from start to finish, winning well clear of the field in 9.54:67.

Her 3000m time is a Croydon Harriers indoor record.
