A wedding day is often one of the most special days for a couple, but for one Swansea family it really is.
For the Nelson family, May 31, has become synonymous with getting hitched.
Just days ago Matthew Nelson tied the knot with his fiancée Mollie on that date at Oxwich Bay Hotel, but 27 years ago in 1996, his parents Steve and Linda got married on the same day in a double wedding ceremony at the same venue with his uncle Anthony and aunt Joanne.
Mollie's parents Rod and Cath Allen also said "I do" on the very same date in 1997 - but not at the same venue.
If that's not enough, next year Matthew's older brother Daniel plans to marry his fiancée Charlotte on - yes, you guessed it - May 31 at Oxwich Bay Hotel.
Matthew's dad Steve has described the shared wedding date as being "part of the 31 Club" and said: "Our double wedding made the Evening Post back in 1996 and now we are celebrating yet another family wedding on the same date.
"People, call it your 'special day' and for our family it truly is. Linda and I were so very touched that Matty and Mollie chose May 31 and the Oxwich Bay Hotel, for their wedding."
He added: "Linda and I fondly remember getting married here, exactly 27 years ago, in a double wedding ceremony with Linda's brother Anthony and Joanne.
"We decided on a double wedding because we didn't have a lot of money and the date just happened to be available, there was no real reason for choosing May 31."
"We are so proud that we’re all still married and Linda and I are also extremely touched that my eldest son, Dan, and his fiancée Charlotte, have chosen to get married on this day next year."
One thing is for certain, as well as many happy years behind them and ahead, all the couples certainly have no excuse for forgetting their anniversaries.
