Pulford moved into prime position in the race for the Premier league title when they emphatically defeated a sporting Newton C trio by a maximum scoreline of 10-0.
Despite the score, the Kustan brothers and talented Connor Climo fought for every point and showed the depth of strength of the division this season.
Newton A also closed the gap on the leaders with a fine 9-1 victory over County Officers for whom Mark Simpson recorded the solitary point. Elsewhere John Chan and Rosen Andeev led Newton B to a comfortable 9-1 victory over Newton D for whom once again Phil Luxon picked up the solitary point.
In Division 1 Groves had to fight hard to overcome a weakened Newton F but despite games going to a decider they triumphed 9-1 and still lead the table, but Saughall Port, 8-2 winners over Beechwood, are now only two points adrift with a match in hand.
Steve Sung was in inspired form for lowly Groves B and led them to an important 6-4 victory over County Officers C, and in form Mark Rhodes was again unbeaten as he ensured Officers E returned from Tarporley with a draw. Third placed Newton E slipped up at Officers C as Keith Roper led the home team to a 6-4 scoreline.
Groves C and Tarporley Elec A continue to set the pace in Division 2 and both recorded 10 0 scorelines, over Officers G and Saughall Institute respectively. Gt Barrow remain in contention defeating Barrow TTC 7-3 despite fine wins for Michelle Hall, and Alan Gilmour and Simon Watts were both undefeated as Newton G outpointed Officers F 6-4.
