The tablet devices will really help children who would not otherwise have access to the internet.

Tarvin Primary school have benefited from a donation of 15 tablet devices, cases and keyboards to help disadvantaged pupils learn from home.

Many children still do not have access to adequate devices, despite the fact they're learning from home.

Some pupils are falling behind their peers, as many are without such technology which is crucially needed for remote learning.

With schools closed and only vulnerable children and families with key worker parents allowed to attend, there are fresh concerns that children have been forced to start the school term without access to these devices to participate in online classes and remote working.

Even with the government pledging to bridge the shortfall in requirements, there is clearly a lack of these devices available to be distributed to schools across the UK to those most in need.

Rhys Nevett, owner of Cheshire Barn Homes, purchased and donated the tablet devices, cases and keyboards to the school in his community, Tarvin Primary.

He said: "Schools and teachers across Chester are doing a fantastic job in such difficult circumstances and I’m glad I could offer some assistance.

"Having three children myself I completely understand the importance for children to be able to communicate with teachers and access the learning forums available through school.

"I hope the devices will assist a number of local families in the area and prevent children falling behind during this difficult period."

The school were delighted to receive the donation.
