The latest Leicestershire traffic orders: a round-up of recent notices

The following temporary traffic regulation orders have recently been announced:

Stoop Lane, Quorn

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Western Power Distribution Ltd to safely undertake works on a new connection.

The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure, temporary parking restrictions and temporary parking bay suspensions.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of one day commencing Sunday, August 22.

Foan Hill, Swannington

A road closure is required on Foan Hill on August 4 for one day. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Western Power Distribution to facilitate tree cutting.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via: Church Lane, Main Street, Spring Lane and vice versa.

Stoney Lane, Coleorton

A road closure is required on Stoney Lane from its junction with Lower Moor Road for approximately 100m in a westerly direction on August 4 for one day. Works are scheduled to take place between 8.00 and 16:00.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Western Power Distribution to facilitate the replacement of an electricity pole.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via: Zion Hill, Peggs Green; Gelsmoor Road, Rempstone Road, Gelsmoor (Worthington); Lower Moor Road, Coleorton; and vice versa.

Footpath O80, Ashby de la Zouch

A right of way closure is required on Footpath O80 between Footpath O85 and Isaac Grove on August 2 for five weeks.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Crest Nicholson to facilitate drainage works. The proposed alternative diversion route will be signed on site.

Manor Road, Donington le Heath

A road closure is required on Manor Road between Townsend Lane and Berryhill Lane on August 2 for five days.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Severn Trent Water and Cadent Gas to facilitate new connections.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via: Ashburton Road, Station Road, The Green, and vice versa.

Newbold Road, Newbold in Owston

A road closure is required on Newbold Lane approximately 50m south east of Hyde Lodge Road on July 19. The road will reopen once works are completed.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Severn Trent Water to facilitate emergency repairs. The proposed alternative diversion route will be signed on site.

Forest Road, Huncote

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Severn Trent Water to safely maintain flow monitoring equipment. The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of two hours between the hours of 19.00 and 06.00 on one night between October 5 and 7.

An exact date/time cannot be given as works cannot be undertaken when the water level is too high.

Markfield Road and Bradgate Hill, Groby

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Leicestershire County Council to facilitate carriageway resurfacing, traffic signal upgrades and any other associated work to the highway.

The TTRO will incorporate temporary road closures and speed restrictions. The road closures will take place overnight between the hours of 20.00 and 06.00.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of seven weeks commencing on August 16.

The Pinfold, Newton Burgoland

A road closure is required on The Pinfold between properties 20 and 48 on August 5 for one day. Works are scheduled to take place between 9.00 and 15.00.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Leicestershire County Council to facilitate carriageway patching.

Willesley Woodside, Ashby de la Zouch

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Leicestershire County Council to safely facilitate carriageway patching.

The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure. The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of one day commencing on August 12. Works are proposed to take place between 9.00 and 15.00.

Shenton Close, Wigston

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake footway patching work. The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure and parking restriction.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of one day on August 16.

Main Street, Lockington

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Leicestershire County Council to safely facilitate carriageway repairs. The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of one day commencing September 7. Works are proposed to take place between 09.00 and 15.00.

High Street, Sileby

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Severn Trent Water to safely undertake pipe renewal works in the carriageway.

The TTRO will incorporate temporary parking bay suspensions and temporary prohibition of waiting and loading at any time restrictions.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of three days commencing on October 18.

Leicester Road, Narborough

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Severn Trent Water to undertake a short communication pipe renewal. The TTRO will incorporate a temporary one way (no access from Leicester Road onto King Edward Avenue).

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of three days commencing on October 11.
