Time is running out to see Reading Guild of Artists Exhibition at Royal Berkshire Hospital
It is the last week to see the Reading Guild of Artists exhibition at Royal Berkshire Hospital.
Reading Guild of Artists (RGA) annual charity art exhibition, which started on Monday, November 6 is in full swing and heading into its last week, finishing the evening of Saturday, December 16.
Anthony Wilder, chair of the Reading Guild of Artists, said: “We are delighted that our 24th annual charity exhibition has gone so well. We have heard lovely stories about the pleasure our artworks have brought to people at the hospital. So far, 13 paintings have been sold and are moving to their new homes at the end of the week. We are always pleased when people like our work so much they buy it as a present for someone they know will enjoy it for years to come. We are already looking forward to our silver jubilee exhibition next year and to again working with Royal Berkshire Hospital.
“It has been a great success and brightened up the lives of patients, staff and visitors at the Royal Berkshire Hospital. Hurry along and see it if you are in the hospital or drop in any time this week as it ends on the evening of Saturday 16 December.
“This is your last chance this week to pop along and find that unique gift for someone in your life. And it’s nice to know that 25% of the proceeds will go to support the hospital’s charity fund. Perhaps you have an anniversary or special birthday coming up? Whatever the occasion, there is sure to be something to inspire.”
Kirsten Rogers Voluntary Services Manager at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, said; “We are really pleased the Reading Guild of Artists are exhibiting again at the Royal Berkshire Hospital. There are some lovely art works which are brightening our corridors and bringing a smile to patients, visitors and staff. We hope people enjoy the exhibition and are keen to support it, particularly as 25% of sales goes to our Voluntary Services Fund"
“That fund supports vital services like the buggy service which transports less mobile patients around the hospital, as well as new projects like new gardens or our Dress for Dignity room. By supporting the exhibition, you are supporting the hospital as well, and we are grateful to Reading Guild of Artists for their continued partnership with us.”
If you wish to vsit the charity art exhibition,it runs until Saturday December 16. It can be found at RBH Level 2 Link Corridors, Craven Road, Reading. Entrance is free and 25% of the proceeds go to the Voluntary Services Fund at the Hospital.
