Across Hertfordshire there is a wealth of photographic talent and at the Hertfordshire Mercury we want to support and encourage people who enjoy photography to get out, enjoy some fresh air and share pictures from across the county showcasing the best that Herts has to offer.
Herts & Essex Tog Squad member Jenny Hanson has sent in images from a very cold looking walk in Ware and Great Amwell, Hertfordshire.

Jenny's images are a selection of birds which include a kingfisher and a heron.

Jenny said: "The areas of Ware and Great Amwell, Herts has an abundance of wildlife both on the water and in the sky.
"The New River, although man-made is home to many ducks, geese and the renowned local Swans.
"A loop walk takes you through HMWT Amwell, one of many local Wildlife Trust reserves, this being the flagship and if you listen you will see many varieties of amazing birds.
"It is quite common to see a Red Kite, Kestrel or a Buzzard."
