As the bank holiday approaches, people across the country are planning a well-deserved trip to the beach, providing the weather improves after several days of rain. In total, 74 sites have landed Blue Flag accolades this year, and you can now use our map to find your nearest award-winning beach.
Blue Flag is an international award that demonstrates to visitors that a beach is clean and safe, with the award given to well-managed beaches with excellent water quality. Keep Britain Tidy reveals the winners in England each year.
In total, 72 beaches and two inland bathing spots have received the gong in 2024. This year, the award winners include the Royal Albert Dock and Salthouse Dock Marina in Liverpool and Rutland Water in the East Midlands.

Beaches in the South West made up half of this year's winners with 37 sites, and the East of England came second with 13. It was followed by the South East with 11, the North East with five, the East Midlands with four, and Yorkshire and Humber with three.
The Liverpool docks were the only site in the North West to pick up a Blue Flag. None of the region's beaches received the award.
