Two new members join the Rotary Club of Folkestone

NEW MEMBERS: Dan Keeling, President, welcoming the new members
The Rotary Club of Folkestone is delighted to welcome two new members. Aygun Sengul and Mark Carey look forward to helping the club with its charitable aims within Folkestone and further afield.
Aygun has been living in the UK for eight years, with the last three years spent in Ashford and commented that she is thrilled to join the Rotary Club, a distinguished group of individuals dedicated to community service. She has worked in the finance sector for 17 years, six of which were in the UK, specializing as a money laundering prevention officer.
Currently, she works alongside her husband Hakan, a highly experienced civil engineer, in their family business, Alyas Limited, a construction company specializing in flat roofs. Aygun has wanted to participate in community service but found it challenging due to a busy schedule but now is at a stage in life where she exploring new paths and making time for activities by joining the Rotary Club which is a wonderful opportunity for her to meet new, inspiring people and contribute to meaningful projects that make a difference.
Mark has lived in Folkestone for a little over 30 years and appreciates how the town is diverse, and has a great community, hence his decision to join the Rotary to fulfil giving something back to the community. He owns Tag trees Ltd, a professional tree surgery business in Folkestone, established since 2010.
He is married with three wonderful children and at home you will mostly find him in the kitchen as cooking and food are his part time passion! Both thanked the group for being welcomed into Rotary.
Dan Keeling, President, commented: "It is always a delight to welcome a new members to the club. Not only having new members enables us to fulfil all our varied activities within the community, it also gives them an opportunity to engage with likeminded colleagues and visit other clubs worldwide.
