Pupils at a local primary school have been learning how stay safe online

Working with The Breck Foundation pupils at Yarnfield Primary School, in Tyseley, Birmingham, in the West Midlands have been taking part in e-safety workshops.

The Breck Foundation campaigns for a safer internet for all children and young people – whether they are gaming, communicating on social media, using apps or taking part in any other internet-based activity.

The foundation works with schools to deliver presentations and workshops to students, staff and parents to raise awareness about the dangers young people face from online grooming through gaming and social media.

Davinder Jandu, principal of Yarnfield Primary School said: "I want to say a big thank you to the Breck Foundation for taking the time to talk to pupils at Yarnfield about how to stay safe online.

"It’s so important that children learn how to interact with the internet and technology in a way that benefits them and protects them from potential harm and I know our pupils took a lot away from the sessions."
