Are You Listening? was created 6 years ago to raise vital funds for the local learning disability charity, Reading Mencap.

A festival like AYL? (which attracts 1,500 festival-goers) requires more people than you might imagine, and we are on the lookout for reliable volunteers to help staff the venues in Reading, Berkshire.
What We Need
Outgoing, sociable people to help cover the door at multiple venues across
Reading town centre, checking and selling wristbands, talking to the festival
audience about the day and encouraging festival-goers to make a donation to
Reading Mencap. Each venue is also manned by multiple volunteers and a
dedicated AYL? venue manager, so you won't be left looking after things on your own.
What You Get
A wristband for access to all the venues, so while you are not on shift you can enjoy any of the acts; a meal voucher and two drink tokens; and a festival staff T-shirt.
Who are Reading Mencap?
We support children and adults with learning disabilities and their families by providing free information and advice, respite, and leisure, educational and social activities.
