Warning to canal users after reports of thefts in rural car parks

Canal users in Tiverton, Devon, have been warned following reports of thefts in rural car parks.

The chair of the Grand Western Canal Friends group said: “One word of warning for those who leave their cars in the isolated parks beside the canal; there have been reports of thefts from cars, including windows broken to get in.

“Please don’t leave any valuables in your vehicles while out enjoying the towpath walks.”
