Wayfarers Arcade wants your help to celebrate its 125th birthday
'To mark the 125-year milestone we are planning to make the next 12 months a year of celebration'
CELEBRATE THE PAST: Wayfarers would like to hear about your personal connect to the arcade
Standing on a famous boulevard in Southport, Wayfarers Arcade has been part of the fabric of shopping within the Lancashire coastal town since 1898.
The beautiful architecture, individual shops and the relaxed ambience of the arcade draws visitors from far and wide.
Conceived by Victorian entrepreneur John Humphrey Plummer, his idea was to build a shopping area that could be enjoyed by visitors whatever the weather, a vision that was to become the norm in towns and cities throughout the world.
To celebrate its 125 birthday year, Wayfarers would like to hear from you.
So, if you or members of your family or friends have or had connections with the arcade or perhaps just love the building or individual shops past and present then the team at the Wayfarers want to hear from you.
