Planning applications received by Mendip District Council last week include:

  • Single-storey outbuilding to house swimming pool at Bathway Farm, Bathway, Chewton Mendip.
  • Tree works at 1 East View Cottages, Duncart Lane, Croscombe.

Planning applications decided by Mendip District Council last week include:

  • Five-day notice of tree works at 19 New Street, Wells. No objection.
  • Tree works at Westfield House, Old Frome Road, Wells. TPO approval.
  • Upgrading of dormer casements and second-floor glazing, two replacement roof lanterns, alterations to existing fireplaces and other associated internal refurbishment/alteration works at 14 Chamberlain Street, Wells. Approval.
  • Two-storey side extension at 30 Holmlea, Wookey. Approval.

  • Installation of play equipment at Henton Village Hall, Wells Road, Henton. Approval.
  • Stationing of one shepherd hut and two camping pods and use of annexe to provide holiday accommodation at Old Ford Cottage, Burcott Lane, Coxley Wick. Withdrawn.
  • Internal alterations to create en-suite and study, plus changes to fenestration at Parsonage Farm, Back Lane, Croscombe. Approval.
