West Wales choirs joining forces to raise funds for the Ukraine crisis
A fundraising concert for Ukraine relief efforts takes place in Llanboidy on Saturday, April 2
Three West Wales choirs are coming together to perform and raise money for the Ukraine humanitarian crisis.
As Russian's invasion of its neighbouring country enters its second month Lleisiau Preseli Voices based in Hermon Pembrokeshire and Carmarthen's Sweet Harmony Community Choir - both led by community musician Maya Waldman - are joining forces with The Singing Men of Cilgwyn based near Lampeter for the Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine Appeal.
On Saturday April 2 at 2pm they will perform at the market hall in the village of Llanboidy near Whitland.
One of the organisers, Mel Perry, said: "We will sing a range of world folk and pop classics arranged in stunning a cappella harmony.

She added: "Our concert will be filled with music to make your toes tap, your spine tingle and maybe bring a tear to your eye.
"The concerts we bring great joy to our audience as well as ourselves and we hope that this one will raise a large contribution to help humanitarian aid for Ukraine.
"The venue will be well ventilated and masks will be optional.
"There will be collection buckets at the hall on the day and money is also being raise through ticket sales."
Tickets for the concert are priced at £10 (£5 for under-16s and concessions) and can be purchased in advance on Eventbrite by visiting the website here.
West Wales has been pulling out all the stops to help the refugee crisis in Ukraine, where 10 million people have so far fled their homes in the wake of the conflict.
Collections of clothes, food and other fundraising efforts have been ongoing since Russia invaded the country on February 24.
We have been overwhelmed reading about how our communities are helping each other during these difficult times. We want YOU to share and shout about what you are doing for your neighbourhoods.
