Wokingham carers given chance to learn more about dementia
Wokingham Healthcare Organisation has a training session on dementia, mental health and neurological conditions
The Homecare People group has announced a Condition Awareness Training day in January.
The session, from 1pm to 5pm on Thursday, January 25, will cover dementia, mental health and neurological conditions. It will be happening at 59 Peach Street in Wokingham, Berkshire.
This training explores the variety of conditions that support workers and care staff deal with when supporting clients at home and in the community.
This training is designed for care staff to enhance their knowledge and understanding of what dementia, mental health and neurological conditions are, how they present and suitable interventions for working with clients who suffer to varying degrees with these disabilities and ailments.
This training is designed to give staff a general knowledge and understanding into what the condition is and how it might effect the individual suffering with the signs and symptoms. They use real life examples to explore best practice and share ideas.
This training can be developed and tailored to meet your needs. If you wish to add something to the day simply let the training team know in advance and they can edit the content to help you get the most out of your training by emailing training@thehomecarepeople.co.uk and ringing 01189 977499
They also deliver a two hour Epilepsy Awareness and Seizure Management Course, enquire for more details.
