The annual Light up a Life Campaign has been launched by Woodlands Hospice, with the virtual remembrance event to go ahead this Sunday (December 6).

The campaign allows people to dedicate a light to a loved one this Christmas.

Woodlands Hospice understands that Christmas is a time for togetherness, but it can be a difficult time if you have lost a loved one, or cannot be with someone you love.

The Woodlands Hospice appeal will give people the opportunity to celebrate the lives of loved ones by dedicating a light on the hospice Christmas tree.

Campaign organiser and Individual Giving Manager, Carole Riley, said: "Our beautiful Christmas tree at the hospice is truly an amazing sight.

"Seeing it adorned with hundreds of lights and knowing that each light is dedicated to someone has such a special meaning. These lights continue to shine brightly throughout the festive season in celebration of all those loved ones.

"Every light that shines out from our Christmas tree is a heartfelt tribute to those who are missed but definitely not forgotten."

By supporting the campaign, you'll be helping the hospice support their patients and families at a time they need it most.

The hospice will be holding a virtual online service on Sunday, December 6. The pre-recorded service will be streamed via Facebook Live and will be available to view on the hospice website.
