You can now apply for a Bridgend secondary school place online

Admissions are now open for a secondary school place in Bridgend for September 2022.

Parents, guardians and carers of primary school pupils who are currently in Year Six now have the option of using an online form to apply for their child’s place in Year 7. It has never been faster or easier to submit an application.

The form is available in the ‘My Account’ section of Bridgend County Borough Council’s website, which you can sign up to simply by providing a valid email address.

The deadline for submitting applications will be 4pm on January 21, 2022 with notifications on the outcome issued on March 1, 2022.

Councillor Charles Smith, cabinet member for education and regeneration, said: “It has never been easier or more convenient to apply for a secondary school admission application. Simply visit the council website, register for My Account by submitting a valid email address, and then complete the online form.

“The council website features full information about the school admissions process and includes maps showing catchment area boundaries, for applicable schools.

“There is no automatic or guaranteed admission to any secondary school in the county borough, so if you do not submit an application by the deadline, you may miss out on your preferred school.

“If your preferred school is Archbishop McGrath Catholic High School, you should contact the school directly to request an application form.”
